Winter Cardinals

I couldn't help but share the stunning photos of some Cardinals that have been visiting the feeder this winter.  I happened to catch three of them flying around in the lilac bush near the feeder.  The contrast of color of the red Cardinal and the snow on the bush was so beautiful.  The female and male I happened to catch together and I just thought it made a lovely picture.

TP Mini's....

I haven't been crafting too much in the last few days, but wanted to share two little toilet paper mini's I made.  I became obsessed with designing some of these little albums when I watched a YouTube video on how to make them.  I now have an overgrown stash of toilet paper tubes (courtesy of my mom).  When my mom finds out I'm crafting something by recycling, she goes into overdrive to make sure I have enough of that supply (lol).  I'm hoping to have a new room for my craft room soon.  My husband had bought me some wonderful cabinets and countertop to craft on, so hopefully within the next week or two I will be set up.  I had been relegated to a corner in our home for crafting (complete with my Cricut) and am looking forward to "spreading out".  Have a blessed day everyone..

A Dogs Life....

Just wanted to share some "action" photos of our dog Molly from New Years Eve.  She just loved catching and eating snowballs...  I hope everyone is enjoying their new year so far and that all those forgotten stamps are finding new love on beautiful cards.  My desire this week is to go through and organize my stamps and paper collection and create some beautiful Valentine's cards this week.  God bless everyone.

Vintage Tag

I watched a youtube video of one of my favorite channels and fell in love with vintage inspired tag that was made, so I decided to try one of my own.  I found an image I loved and it evolved from there.  I have kept the back fairly simple for journaling.  Right now I just do not have a ribbon picked out for the top grommet.  I want to find just the right one.

First Mini Album

I did this mini album a few weeks ago.  I so fell in love with the many albums I have seen displayed by various "you-tubers" that I had to make one myself.  I used Laura Denison's instructions on how to make a paperbag mini album.  For my first album, I'm happy.  I still need to add some tags for journaling and spots for pictures.  I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Tsukineko Walnut Inks, Tim Holtz Tattered Florale for the flower and the flower to the left is from Reflections (mulberry flowers).  I really love victorian, vintage, shabby chic.  As you will see in the tag (below) I recently made using a victorian image found on the internet.

Thank you and some cards....

I want to send a big thank you to Melissa Waldorf today for taking time out of her day to help me navigate blogger.  I could not figure out how to get gadgets on my blog, even though I read the instructions numerous times.  Can you guess I am new to blogging??  But I am determined and actually enjoying it.  I just wanted to share a few pictures of cards I recently created for friends and family.  I'll upload a project (my first mini) later today.  I just love how it came out.  I followed the directions of the paper bag mini from Laura Denison (Following The Paper Trail).

I made the pansy flower myself from wired ribbon (another one of my passions-making ribbon flowers).

You cant tell from this photo, but the flowers have stickles on them, making them sparkly.

Widgets.... posting to blog

Ok, I have spent countless hours now trying to figure out how to "grab widgets" from other websites and bloggers' websites.  If anyone who visits my blog can help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it.  Even Blogger help didnt really help me.  I guess I really dont understand it.  Well stay tuned for posts showing some of my designs and just plain fun I have creating art.  Have a good night everyone.

Out with the old, in with the new??

Our pastor had an interesting sermon this morning.  We are so quick to just "get rid of Christmas" as soon as the New Year rings in.  Does that mean we "get rid of Jesus too"?  NO.  In this New Year, especially, it is ever more important we hold on tight to our dear Savior, Jesus Christ.  It gave a whole new meaning to my resolution of shedding unwanted pounds and gaining some muscle.  How about gaining muscle in faith - yes, growing the muscle of my faith.  I realized I need to work on trusting Jesus more and letting my faith spill in every little detail of my life.

Happy New Year everyone.  God bless you and keep you and may his face shine upon you.
